Finance Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the financial management of EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe, ISF, and Erasmus+. The ideal candidate will have experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with EU grant regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring project expenditures, preparing financial reports, liaising with project partners, and supporting audits. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and familiarity with EU funding frameworks. Remote work options available within the EU.

The position will be paid, with the role being a flexible/part-time position working on various EU funded projects. We are looking for a professional with some form of previous experience with EU grants.

Part-time (1 to 3 days per week (can be discussed based on preference) which provides a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations and reporting for EU-funded projects in accordance with relevant funding guidelines and institutional requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans in collaboration with project managers and partner organisations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of financial transactions and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support timely financial submissions, verifications, and audits.
  • Contribute to the preparation of interim and final financial reports for European Commission submissions.

Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience in financial administration of EU-funded programmes
  • Strong knowledge of EU financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a cross-cultural, multilingual environment.

This is a flexible position with the option to work remotely from any EU Member State.
