The hybrid #EuARe2021 conference is organized by the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany, and focuses on the overarching topic of ‘Religion and Change’.

EFI successfully presented its European Commission funded project, SOAR, on the panel titled “An Introduction to the SOAR ‘Strengthening the security and resilience of at-risk religious sites and communities’ program”. We also had an informational booth present from 30th Aug to 2nd Sept.

The panel discussions covered key aspects of Security by Design & it’s principles, as well as explaining the work being done in engaging and training faith leaders, institutional management, and volunteers in local, regional and national events.

Attending the conference were various high profile academics, theologians, and religious leaders, including key note speaker Dr. Azza Karam, Secretary General of Religions for Peace International, and the previous Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.

The EFI (lead coordinators of the SOAR project) team was actively engaging, networking, and documenting their presence via social media. See below:
