Junior IT Support and Development – Dublin/Europe

Job Summary

As Junior IT Support you will support daily operations of IT for the EFI Dublin office. This role is the first and second-line support, both to on-site and remote users, for day-to-day IT issues and supports the IT team to provide technical support for the company. You will support and troubleshoot office and/or home office equipment, including network systems, laptops, monitors, microphones, PCs, and video conferencing. The Junior IT Support must be proficient, organised, and passionate about learning new technologies and services. There will be work involving basic web development and support for social media.

Job Description


Common tasks include:

  • Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, etc.
  • End to end resolution of desktop support problems.
  • Logging of incidents, requests and problems.
  • Initial response and diagnosis of problems
  • Website development/management
  • Social media support


You will need to have:

  • Good knowledge of hardware and software
  • Good knowledge of WordPress and HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Ability to work with and troubleshoot Windows/macOS
  • Problem-solving mindset – optimise inefficiencies and processes
  • Strong organisational skills, presentation skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to plan your own work, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines;
  • The ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload
  • Oral and written communication skills;
  • Teamwork
